THE LA JACARANDA STORY
As this happened during the build we turned the apartment into a large office for our business and at one point had 7 staff squeezed in there! We then moved to larger office premises and debated what to do with the apartment. We then decided to turn it into a holiday home and from 2002 – 2009 we rented just the apartment out for families to enjoy.
Meanwhile our children were growing up and our middle son got married and moved into the apartment with his wife and there they had our first grandchild and we all had a happy year watching her grow in such a beautiful place. However Spain was in crisis and neither my son nor his wife could get work so they decided to move to my daughter in laws home town in America. It was heartbreaking to see them go and as our younger son was moving to London we decided that the place was just too big for the two of us and it was time to move. We rented it out long term to a family for three years but after they left it in a state of major disrepair we decided the best future for the place was to share it with people to enjoy as a holiday home.
So 2015, was our first year for people to enjoy La Jacaranda as a whole. We knew it would be a perfect place for families, parties and celebrations as through the years we lived there we had enjoyed it all. We were proved right and had a very successful first year.

We recently stayed here and had an absolutely fabulous time. The hosts were superb with their communication- and really helpful when our flights had to be changed.
Regarding the villa-wow what a place it’s absolutely stunning. There was 17 of us with 8 children in the party. They absolutely loved the swimming pool and the garden area of an evening.
The dining table outside near the bbq is a superb area for evening meals. The garden is bigger than we expected and the children really enjoyed running around and playing in it.
You can tell the villa is a family home-rather than a just a holiday home. From condiments out in the kitchen to the toys for the children it makes it a lot easier.
The location is great too. Mijas is beautiful and only a 5 minute taxi or bus journey away. There are plenty of restaurants etc here and we did a nice walk in the hills above the town.
Overall we would highly recommend staying in this villa.

Wonderful Stay. (Pity I can only give 5 stars…)
16 Guests – Family Holiday.
We rented the entire property for 2 weeks and it far exceeded our expectations when we arrived.
From the outset hosts Debbie & Simon were so accommodating, any query was answered in detail and quickly which was very helpful as we had such a large group. I have never came across hosts as pleasant and so easy to deal with.. The Property itself is stunning. Spotless clean throughout and equipped with all the essential amenities we required. We travelled with kids and some days it was difficult to get them out of the property, from the pool, games room to outdoor spaces, I could go on and on. It really is a special place that Debbie and Simon have created and you can see the time and care that both have put into the property. Location is perfect, 5 minute drive from Mijas. There is a bus stop at the end of the road or the Bolt & Uber service is very efficient. We enjoyed many evenings in Mijas enjoying the local restaurants and entertainment. It was sad having to leave but we will certainly be back.

Gorgeous villa in Mijas! We stayed as a group of 18, and there was plenty of space across beds and sofa beds. Debbie went above and beyond with service, giving us a lift to the supermarket and generally welcoming us. We had a great holiday and vow to return.

A group of 18 friends had an amazing stay at La Jacaranda last week. The villa and apartment are so spacious, immaculately clean and extremely well equipped, which made us feel so comfortable there. The pool area is large, and has wonderful views towards the sea. Debbie and Simon are so helpful and generous, providing recommendations for the local area and are available to help throughout the stay if needed. I would certainly stay at La Jacaranda again and highly recommend it!

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at La Jacaranda
We stayed at La Jacaranda in Mijas as a group of 10, including two little ones, and had an unforgettable time. The villa and grounds are huge—far bigger than we probably needed as a group of 10—but the extra space made it feel even more luxurious and relaxing.
Debbie, the host, was fantastic from start to finish. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, which made everything so easy.
The gardens are stunning, with plenty of beautiful spots to sit, eat, and unwind. The views were spectacular and truly postcard-worthy.
One special highlight for us was that our youngest learnt to swim in the pool, which made the trip even more memorable.
We’re all very sad to leave but already dreaming of coming back in the not-too-distant future. Highly recommend La Jacaranda for anyone looking for a peaceful, spacious, and scenic getaway.

We had a memorable holiday in this stunningly located Villa , super comfortable and spotlessly clean. We stayed in the apartment that also comes with the villa which had everything we needed for some quiet relaxation or party time! It hides a secret games room with drinks bar and pool table, perfectly situated so guarantees not to disturb anyone in the villa. Conveniently located to the lovely town of Mijas with easy access to a choice of beaches and exploring the area. Highly recommend.
